Yoshino' is a fast-growing medium-sized to large tree with a regular, narrow pyramidal crown to about 15 m. The branches are planted at an angle of 30°, creating a rather slender crown from a young age. The foliage is an attractive soft green, turning slightly bronze in winter. 'Yoshino', like so many other conifers, suffers from dead twigs inside the tree later in life. But the regular and dense branching of 'Yoshino' makes this problem almost invisible. The tree is perfectly hardy. It is an old Japanese cultivar, dating from before 1928. Great tree for gardens and parks. Hardiness zone: 6a
