'Bella' is a good-growing, small to medium-sized tree growing 8-10 m tall. Whereas the species P. persica tends to have an irregularly shaped crown, this is much less the case with 'Bella'. This is caused by the well-through heart branch. The twigs and older bark have the same beautiful colours as P. persica. The foliage turns deep red in spring. In summer it is a glossy dark green and already towards the end of the summer it starts to turn red again, before turning deep purple to purple in autumn. The flowering too is like P. persica. In itself not spectacular, but because the tree already flowers in February-March, i.e. before the leaves develop, the red flower bundles do stand out.
Parrotia persica 'Bella' can eventually reach a height of 8-10 m, depending on the site and climate conditions.
Parrotia persica 'Bella' is átlagos and can eventually reach a height of 8-10 m, depending on the site and climate conditions.
The leaves of Parrotia persica 'Bella' turn sárga, narancssárga, piros, bíborszínű in autumn.
The right time to plant Parrotia persica 'Bella' is during the dormancy period. In Western Europe, Parrotia persica 'Bella' with root balls can generally be planted from mid-November to late April, although this depends strongly on the climatic conditions and the species of tree.
