Populus x canadensis 'Ellert' A fast grower with a fairly straight trunk and relatively thin branches. The tree has a broad oval crown with irregular branching. Adult specimens can reach a height of 20 - 25 m. The leaves start out light green but later turn a darker shade. Bears flowers in the form of male catkins.
