'Oshidori' is a large shrub to small tree to about 5 m tall. The crown is broadly vase-shaped and densely branched. The leaves are elliptical and fairly long, up to about 5 cm, and have a coarsely serrated leaf edge. When unfurling, the leaves are slightly bronze-coloured, later in summer they are dark green and in autumn they turn orange-red to deep red. From the second half of March to early April, the 3-3.5 cm large, pendulous flowers open. They are pale pinkish-white and semi-double. When they flower, they turn slightly darker, especially in the centre. The petals are slightly folded, giving the flowers a fringed appearance.
'Oshidori' is a Japanese cultivar discovered in a garden at a farm in Gotenba City, Shizuoka. It is a highly ornamental cultivar with, for a P. incisa, a very long flowering time. Hardiness zone 6b.
