Prunus subhirtella 'Pendula' is a slow growing broad weeping form, usually grafted on a stem. The main branches spread out more or less horizontally and the young twigs are very pendulous. It forms a decorative winter silhouette. It eventually attains a height of approx. 4 m. The green leaves are somewhat larger than those of the species, their autumnal colour yellow-orange. Brief but abundant flowering period in (late) April. The flower buds are dark pink, the flowers single and pale pink to practically white. Flower diameter approx. 1.5 cm.
