Large tree with a distinctly more slender crown than other linden species and cultivars. The tree grows to approx. 15 m tall and 6 m wide. The young twigs are red, mature bark is dark brown and grooved. The gracefully shaped, broad ovate leaves have a retuse base and a long pointed tip. Its margin is finely and sharply serrated. The top of the leaf is glossy dark green, the underside white felt-like and light brown on young leaves. In July the fragrant, cream-coloured flowers, 10 - 20 together, appear in approx. 8 cm long corymbs. They are followed by brown, felt-like hairy ovate fruits. This cultivar was first distributed in the USA under the synonym, ‘Continental Appeal’. A good avenue tree that can be used mainly in places where other lindens are too wide.
